Hi
I am trying to connect UaExpert (1.5.0)to OPCUA Tunneller (6.2.1.7574) Connection is successful.
I added one of the Classic ProgId of OPCDA which is running remotely. UaExpert is successfully connect to added classic opc server.
I was expecting the UaExpert will list the tags under newly added classic opc. It lists only few items under server status like Current Time , Last Update time ... & VendorInfo. All these are showing out of Service.

How to browse the tags or we need to add tags manually before brwosing the Tag Items if yes how to add or pull the tags from added classic opc server.

Will it list the NodeId of classic opc when accessed using "UaExpert"

Hi Hemant,

Matrikon OPC UA Tunneller will provide a browse list to the OPC UA Client if the end OPC Server itself supports browsing. I presume with your OPC Server that if you connect a DA Client locally, you can browse for tags. If my understanding is correct, I would suggest that Tunneller is having issues connecting to your OPC Server, therefore can't get the browse list. I would suggest setting Tunneller to run as the same user as your OPC Server as follows:

**Disconnect any OPC UA Clients connected to Tunneller**
1) On the OPC Server side, open Windows Services
2) Locate MatrikonOPC UA Wrapper service and open the properties
3) Choose the Logon tab
4) Set the user to be the same user that your OPC Server is running as. Note that this user should be a local administrator that has permissions to run services.
5) Apply the settings, close and restart the service.

Go back to your OPC Client and try the connection again. If it fails this time, go back to the OPC Server and try to connect to the OPC Server with OPC Explorer to ensure a connection is possible. If it is, repeat the steps above but use the user credentials that you are currently logged on as (what OPC Explorer will be running as) instead.

If you are unable to get a result, please contact Matrikon OPC Support at support@matrikonopc.com
