I have a Win10 64 bit host for my OPC DA server, which is Indusoft (Studio,Scada.OPC.3). Locally OPC works, Matrikon OPC Explorer. On my Win7 client I can ping the host and the OPC test client finds the topics, but I either get access denied or topic not found when I try to connect. I have tried everything I know of, including info on these links, to open it up and get it working.

Patrick,

Here are a couple of suggestions.
1. To isolate if Win7 is a problem can you try the OPC Client on a different OS or does that client only work on Win7?
2. Is the Win10 OS fully updated? If so, it may have the DCOM hardening patches on it which can stop Client communications.
3. You could try using UA Tunneller on the 2 machines to test/eliminate the DCOM part of this and let you know if it is the culprit. Win10 can use our current version of UAT however the Win7 side would need UAT version 5.5 which still supports Win7. That is something your Account Manager can help you with or if you do not have one, simply call 1-877-628-7456 (Toll-Free) and choose Sales.
